Why We Built Fertitude

A few years ago, I was diagnosed with PCOS (polycystic ovary syndrome).

Because I trained as a doctor, I wasn't afraid of the diagnosis. I understood what was happening in my body, what to expect, and how to figure out the next steps.

But when I began speaking with other women, I noticed something heartbreaking. So many felt anxious, ashamed, or left in the dark. Again and again, I'd hear: "No one ever told me this. I didn't know what to expect."

That was the moment it hit me: women are carrying a heavy burden — not because answers don't exist, but because healthcare often doesn't explain things in ways women can actually use. Doctors know the science, but they rarely see the toll that silence and stigma take. Fertitude was born to close that gap.

Together with an amazing team of engineers, doctors, designers, storytellers and advocates, we're creating a companion women can trust at every stage — whether it's navigating your cycle, protecting your sexual health, planning for fertility, pregnancy, or life as a new mom.
